{"id":20,"date":"2006-07-06T20:42:01","date_gmt":"2006-07-07T03:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nerdylorrin.net\/anneb\/?p=20"},"modified":"2006-07-06T20:42:01","modified_gmt":"2006-07-07T03:42:01","slug":"boat-cruise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nerdylorrin.net\/anneb\/?p=20","title":{"rendered":"Boat Cruise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One way to quickly orient yourself with a city is through a very touristy bus trip or, as in our case, cruise.\u00a0 I do have to admit that even if they are touristy, I love boat cruises.\u00a0 In addition to some great city views, I thought going on a boat would be a good way to escape the heat.\u00a0 I was right, although I think the true credit goes to the thunderstorm that loomed overhead through most of the cruise.\u00a0 Actually, the storm was fabulous.\u00a0 Although, stupidly, I spent most of my time trying to get a picture of lightning.\u00a0 Not only is my camera not capable, but I ran my battery down trying.\u00a0 I barely got a shot of lady liberty!<br \/>\n<img alt=\"lady.JPG\" id=\"image18\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nerdylorrin.net\/anneb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/07\/lady.thumbnail.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Michele, Rob, Dawn, and Aaron joined us on the cruise.\u00a0 If you brave our air mattress you may end up with your photo on this blog.\u00a0 Check out the whitecaps in the background!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"306\" height=\"227\" alt=\"cruise4.JPG\" id=\"image19\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nerdylorrin.net\/anneb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/07\/cruise4.JPG\" \/><br \/>\nBefore the cruise, we found our first true cheap-eats establishment.\u00a0 Havana Chelsea filled us up and more for around $10 per person.\u00a0 We chose Cuban food for a late lunch and didn&#8217;t need dinner!\u00a0 Not even a late one.\u00a0 And the food was outstanding.
